Getinge Exec VP Agneta Palmér to Succeed Lars Sandström as Finance Chief

Sandström is departing the company for a new opportunity; Palmér will take office at the end of March.

Getinge announced that chief financial officer (CFO) Lars Sandström is leaving the company for a new opportunity. He’ll be succeeded by executive VP of operational services Aneta Palmér, who has been working at Getinge since 2018.

Prior to her role as executive VP of operational services, Palmér was the company’s VP of corporate control. She previously had similar roles at auto maker Volvo.

”I am very pleased that Agneta is taking over as CFO. She has extensive experience from finance in global operations and has in-depth knowledge of Getinge’s business. In addition, in her previous role, she has been involved in establishing our current finance organization, which she will now continue to develop,” said Getinge president and CEO Mattias Perjos.

The transition will take place at March’s close once Sandström departs, according to the company.

”Lars has contributed with solid expertise and has been key in sharpening our global finance function and setting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization, which has been of great benefit to the company. I have appreciated Lars as a colleague and wish him all the best in the opportunity that has arisen outside of Getinge,” added Perjos.

Earlier this month, the company introduced Maquet Ezea, a surgical light designed to align with evolving risk management standards.
